Enroll your kids this holiday break in BLACKOUT, a youth art camp led by teaching artist Heather Younger Morton! This 8-day camp will be held at The Artist’s Laboratory Theatre.
The windows of The Artist’s Lab will be blacked out, and the focus of the camp will be on light and its effects through art projects, dramatic productions, and experiments. Students will get to experiment with black and white photography, color theory, projections, and more! Through these lessons, students will be introduced to historical and contemporary artists that use light as a subject.
While the students will be leaving the camp with a collection of 2-D art projects, there will be a huge focus on creating temporary interactive art.
This camp is open to youth aged 6-12, and space is limited!
9 AM – 3 PM for all dates
As part of The Artist’s Lab’s mission to make the arts more accessible, this camp is Pay-What-You-Can, and is valued at $75 per day. Once you have registered, Director of Outreach Simone Cottrell will contact you via email or phone to inquire how you would like to pay as well as sending you further information regarding the camp.
